manuscript, weather beaten, brittle and contaminated, now shows the marks of aging and destruction, and reduced to fragments.
The information reproduced below now preserve it electronically, and is shareable to all those, who may be interested
in our common ancestor's love for freedom, liberty, travel and literature.
For a broader casting, the transcript has been reproduced in Roman Urdu/Hindi. This not
only helps in ease of data entry, but is very readable to our new generation, living overseas and unable to read Urdu.
The names have been transformed to the best of the original name sounds, as would have sounded in their respective geo-cultural
regions, speaking innumerable local dialects of Arabic, Persian (farsee), Turkish and Urdu. For simplicity, again, some of
the titles, or epithets (alqab) have been reduced to just the actual name of the ancestor, except for a few exceptions. The
names of individuals, towns and cities do not start with a capital letter, please see the Roman Urdu table below for reference.

Birjees was an active and very graceful lady. She pioneered the establishment of Ladies
Club in the Company Bagh (now Liaquat Bagh) in Rawalpindi and was its General Secretary until her marriage. She was
an ardent promoter of sports and other activities for women.
birjees was married to mohammad aslam ghaznavi, a veteran 2nd world war radio operator and
later, Airport Manager, who served at Chaklala, Dacca, Sylhut, Cittagong, Gilgit, Skardu, Peshawar, Lahore and Walton. birjees
had four children with him, humera, kanwal, gulfishan khawar and farrukh jah.
humera is standing in the center, with farzana and turkana.
humera "guRya" is an acclaimed and internationally acknowledged Artist.
She has lived and practiced her art in Scandinavia, and has taken her artwork exhibitions around the world. She visited Texas
and California USA early 2006. She lives in Islamabad.
Kanwal "baby" is married to David and lives in Houston, Texas.
Gulfishan Khawar "bublee" is married and lives in Rawalpindi.
farrukh jah is a commissioned officer in the Pakistan Army. He is married to
farah bano (daughter of ahmed pervaiz) and lives in Lahore. furrukh and farah have one son.

maqsood ahmed served the Punjab Police in Ferozepur, Bathinda, Lahore, Sahiwal and Faislabad.
He also served in the Lahore High Court.
He lived the last days of his retired life in Salisbury, Maryland, on the US East Coast
and returned to Lahore a few months before his death in early 2006.
