Ahmed Taufiq studied at the St. Theresa's and St. Patrick's High School, graduating
from the Gordon College, Rawalpindi. Received his Army Commission in 1967 and commanded the 16th Battalion of the Punjab Regiment
(40th Pathan).
He did his Masters in the Chinese language from the National Institute
of Foreign Languages, Islamabad. He has been the kingpin of the family taking good care of his siblings and mother.
Ahmed Taufiq, retired from the Army, now serves as the General Manager
of Pak-Suzuki Motor Co and lives in Lahore with wife Gulrukh (former Principal Beacon House School Systems).
His elder son Amir Taufiq is an MBA from Oxford and works for
international apparal marketing and management. Amir Taufiq is married to Rabea and has a one year old baby girl
Pareeza. Younger son Omar Taufiq earned his Masters in Fine Arts from Florence, Italy and operates his own studio
